"Make a Difference"
Course Three is the final growth window RAD offers. Students in Course Three put to work all the skills they have learned in the two previous courses by taking over leadership within RAD. This offers the student a taste of “real life” ministry experience. With continued support and guidance from RAD staff, Course Three students will learn to mentor others as they step into leadership positions. By becoming leaders themselves, students move from being discipled to being the ones who disciple. This empowers and equips them to make a difference in the world when they graduate. Course Three students also have the chance to critique and revise RAD’s curriculum, helping to produce the best teaching materials possible.
The goal of Course Three is for the student to develop both leadership skills and marketable job skills that will benefit them in their vocation. There are two six-week windows in Course Three. The first is an internship with area businesses or ministries. Interning with businesses or ministries enables the students to try a career field of their choice to see if it is compatible with their talents, skills and goals. During this period, staff will encourage the students as they make decisions and exhort them to take leadership. Students will learn to listen to the Lord for guidance in life. The second six-week window is a time of servant leadership in the community.
When students graduate from Course Three, they will have a good understanding of God’s direction for their future as they transition back into the college, marketplace or full-time ministry setting. They will be prepared to follow Christ in any walk of life, whether it is in the secular market place, or in full-time vocational ministry. RAD students will be the next generation of equipped, devoted, sold out Christian men and women ready to impact the world with the truth and love of God’s kingdom.
