"Do you love me?" Jesus once asked his disciple. "Yes, Lord," Peter replied. "Do you love me?" Jesus asked again.
Peter responded a second time, "Yes, Lord." Jesus repeated it yet a third time, "Do you love me?"
"Yes, Lord, you know I love you."
Jesus looked deep into Peter's eyes, "If you love me, then feed my sheep." (John 21:15-17)
Jesus' charge to Peter was something that wasn't taken lightly. Can you imagine the stillness in that moment when the reality of the 'call' sunk deep into Peter's heart?
You have been called.
Maybe just for this time or perhaps for years, but regardless you have been called to the position you now hold. Not only are you to guide the flock, but you are called to feed the flock.
There is no greater hunger that burns as deeply as that of a young adult. They are hungry for answers. Hungry for knowing who they really are and what God wants them to be. Hungry for people who will love them enough to take the time to pour into their lives. Hungry enough to make an impact in this rapidly changing world. There is a ministry designed to come alongside you in your calling to 'feed the flock.'
RAD Ministries is a 9 month, hands-on, high adventure program designed to equip young adults, ages 18-26, to become committed disciples of Jesus Christ.Through seeking the Father and His plan for their lives, they can unlock the potential within them and make a difference on campuses, in the marketplace, and in the community.
The need for discipleship and Christian leadership training is more urgent now then it has ever been. According to the U.S. Department of Education, studies show that out of the students who started college, only 41.9% of them earned their college degrees. 83% of young adults who claim to be Christians embrace moral relativism and only 6% claim that moral truth is absolute. There are many young adults out there searching for direction and faltering in their relationship with God. RAD's hands-on education integrates real life situations with sound Biblical principles that meet the needs of young adults today, teaching the areas of Self-Identity, Spiritual Growth and How to Disciple Others.
If you know of any students, ages 18-26, who are wanting to know what the next step is for their career and relationship with God, please email us. We would be happy to share the vision of RAD with your youth or group of young adults.
Together, we can equip the next generation of leaders!
“He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed.”
